DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively promote and sell FMCG products to retailers, wholesalers, kiosks, dukas, and supermarkets along the assigned route.
- Conduct product demonstrations, explain product benefits, and handle customer objections professionally.
- Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets set by the company.
- Plan and follow a structured daily route to ensure maximum market coverage.
- Regularly update route lists and identify new potential clients to onboard.
- Verify stock before departure, ensuring all items are correctly loaded.
- Maintain proper arrangement of products in the van to avoid damage and ensure easy access.
- Conduct daily stock reconciliation at the end of each route.
- Build strong and lasting relationships with customers through professional interaction and reliable service.
- Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and resolve complaints promptly.
- Collect cash or mobile money payments and issue receipts accurately.
- Record all transactions in sales books, POS devices, or mobile applications as required.
- Ensure all payments are submitted to the office/accounts department on time.
- Minimize outstanding balances by following up on credit customers, where applicable.
- Prepare and submit daily sales reports, stock movement records, and route performance summaries.
- Report any stock discrepancies, route issues, or customer concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and accountability.
- Adhere to company policies, especially regarding stock management, sales ethics, and customer interactions.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity at all times.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- At least 2 years of experience as a sales representative in the FMCG sector
- Proven selling, negotiation, and merchandising skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Basic numeric abilities and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and meet sales targets
