DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Actively promote and sell FMCG products to retailers, wholesalers, kiosks, dukas, and supermarkets along the assigned route.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, explain product benefits, and handle customer objections professionally.
  • Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets set by the company.
  • Plan and follow a structured daily route to ensure maximum market coverage.
  • Regularly update route lists and identify new potential clients to onboard.
  • Verify stock before departure, ensuring all items are correctly loaded.
  • Maintain proper arrangement of products in the van to avoid damage and ensure easy access.
  • Conduct daily stock reconciliation at the end of each route.
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with customers through professional interaction and reliable service.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Collect cash or mobile money payments and issue receipts accurately.
  • Record all transactions in sales books, POS devices, or mobile applications as required.
  • Ensure all payments are submitted to the office/accounts department on time.
  • Minimize outstanding balances by following up on credit customers, where applicable.
  • Prepare and submit daily sales reports, stock movement records, and route performance summaries.
  • Report any stock discrepancies, route issues, or customer concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and accountability.
  • Adhere to company policies, especially regarding stock management, sales ethics, and customer interactions.
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity at all times.


 


 


KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION



  • At least 2 years of experience as a sales representative in the FMCG sector
  • Proven selling, negotiation, and merchandising skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Basic numeric abilities and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet sales targets
