DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILI
· Deliver scheduled lectures, revision sessions, and other assigned teaching activities for the allocated module(s).
· Prepare lesson plans, presentation materials, case studies, classroom activities, and other teaching resources necessary for effective delivery of the curriculum.
· Familiarize himself/herself with the University of London Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), module specifications, learning outcomes, and teaching resources.
· Assign appropriate readings, learning activities, and independent study tasks to students.
· The department will also be kept in the loop in whatever activities/assignments are assigned to the students. (Eg: Google Classroom, Email)
· Use module learning outcomes and assessment requirements to structure and guide teaching.
· Conduct revision sessions, mock examinations, and exam-preparation activities as required.
· Monitor student attendance and promptly communicate any concerns to the institution’s coordinator.
· Provide academic guidance and support regarding coursework, examinations, and module-related queries and hold consultation sessions with students when required and provide constructive academic feedback. Likewise, to provide guidance to students in preparation for their coursework assignment and ensure they complete it and upload it to the VLE. The assignment would be free of any plagiarism, with 0% AI & similarity index of around 5-6%.
· Monitor student progress and encourage active participation and engagement in learning.
· Attend scheduled faculty meetings, academic briefings, and other program-related meetings as required.
· Ensure timely completion of the syllabus in accordance with the academic calendar and program schedule.
· Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and academic activities as required by management. The lesson plans and the E-Academic file will be shared by the lecturer by the stated deadline Subsequently, a Google Sheet will be shared with all lecturers, in which they will update their syllabus progress after each class.
· Uphold academic integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards in all teaching academic activities.
· Comply with all academic policies, procedures, and guidelines issued by the University of London.
· Notify the Campus Coordinator promptly of any circumstances that may affect teaching schedules or fulfilment of assigned responsibilities.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
· Degree in Statistics, Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
· A Masters in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage
· Previous teaching experience at university or higher education level is preferred
· Experience teaching University of London or other international programmes will be an added advantage
· Experience using statistical software packages is desirable
