Salary: KES 30,000 per month
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the branch team, managing lending and collections activities, maintaining portfolio quality, and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Job Purpose
The Branch Manager will provide overall leadership and oversight of branch operations, with primary responsibility for business growth, lending, collections, portfolio quality, staff performance, customer service, and branch profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the branch team to achieve lending, collection, customer growth, and profitability targets.
- Oversee the full lending cycle, including customer acquisition, loan processing, disbursement, repayment monitoring, and collections.
- Drive branch portfolio growth while maintaining sound credit quality and responsible lending standards.
- Monitor collection performance and ensure timely action on overdue, defaulted, and high-risk accounts.
- Supervise Loan Officers, Collection Officers, and other branch staff and hold them accountable for their performance.
- Conduct regular field visits, portfolio reviews, and customer follow-ups to identify risks and improve branch performance.
- Identify, investigate, and promptly report suspected fraud, operational risks, and policy violations.
- Ensure branch activities comply with Company policies, procedures, KYC requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Monitor branch performance and expenses and implement measures to achieve branch profitability.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve escalated customer issues professionally.
- Prepare and submit accurate branch performance reports and provide management with relevant business and risk updates.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in any relevant field.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Collection Officer.
- Computer competency.
- Strong understanding of lending, collections, customer management, and microfinance operations.
- Previous experience as a Branch Manager in a microfinance institution is an added advantage.
