- Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production plans for school and fashion sweater lines.
- Ensure smooth workflow across knitting, stitching, finishing, and packaging sections while meeting delivery deadlines.
- Knitting Operations Management: Oversee all knitting machine operations, ensuring correct machine settings, gauge control, and pattern execution. Coordinate machine allocation, minimize downtime, and ensure efficient yarn usage.
- Stitching & Assembly Supervision: Supervise stitching teams to ensure proper garment assembly, seam quality, and adherence to approved specifications and patterns.
- Finishing & Quality Assurance: Enforce strict quality control at every stage—washing, pressing, labelling, folding, and packaging. Ensure consistency in sizing, color, texture, and overall finish before dispatch.
- Material & Inventory Control: Manage procurement and usage of yarns, trims, labels, and accessories. Monitor stock levels, reduce wastage, and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
- Design Implementation: Work closely with designers and merchandisers to interpret sketches and tech packs into production-ready garments. Ensure samples are accurately translated into bulk production.
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead and coordinate production staff across all departments. Assign duties, monitor performance, resolve operational issues, and ensure discipline and productivity.
- Training & Skill Development: Train machine operators and production staff on improved techniques, safety standards, and efficiency practices to enhance output quality and reduce errors.
- Cost & Efficiency Monitoring: Track production costs, material consumption, labor efficiency, and machine utilization. Identify areas for cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare daily production reports, efficiency analyses, rejection reports, and management updates to support decision-making.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all factory operations comply with safety standards, machine handling protocols, and workplace cleanliness regulations.
- Diploma in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, Production Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in knitwear or garment manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of sweater knitting machines, production processes, and garment finishing techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in production planning tools and Microsoft Office applications.
