Job Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the job incumbent will be mainly required to:
- Minimum Qualification : Bachelors
- Experience Level : Mid level
- Experience Length : 10 years
Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Will be fully responsible for the planning and installation of the HVAC systems.
• Fully conversant with HVAC retro-fit and specifically on chillers, cooling towers, ducts, humidifiers & de-humidifiers, coolant pipes, economizers and HVAC controls.
• Oversee site operations including manpower planning, materials procurement planning, and day-to-day running
• Coordinate works with main contractors, architects, consultants, and clients’ representatives by attending site meetings and taking necessary follow-up actions
• Manage projects with respect to budget (allowable), technical & client specifications, and deadlines
• Prepare and present monthly cost reports for projects to management
• Manage the contractual matters relating to projects – disputes, extension of time, scope, etc.
• Manage project cash flow and ensure proper funding forsmooth running ofsite operations
• Follow up for work variations with QS team and need for acceleration costs
• Develop & administer quality control policies and procedures
• Provide technical assistance to engineering team in the field of air-conditioning.
• Ensure and enforce that the team members adhere to H&S policies and procedures
Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Conversant with shop drawings/construction drawings
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in large projects involving HVAC installations (Chiller, VRV)
• Additional qualifications in Project Management would be an advantage
Other Requisites:
• Knowledge of FIDIC for proper management of contract
• Fully conversant with MS Office applications
