DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Bar Operations Management

·       Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar to ensure smooth and efficient service.

·       Ensure the bar is clean, organized, and maintained to the highest standards.

·       Monitor opening and closing procedures, ensuring all operational checklists are completed.

·       Address operational issues promptly to minimize service disruptions.

Customer Service & Guest Experience

·       Deliver and maintain exceptional customer service standards.

·       Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.

·       Build positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

·       Monitor service quality and ensure staff provide a friendly, professional, and efficient experience.

Staff Leadership & Supervision

·       Supervise bartenders, waitstaff, and support staff during shifts.

·       Prepare work schedules and allocate duties effectively.

·       Train, coach, and mentor employees on service standards, product knowledge, and company procedures.

·       Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

·       Foster teamwork, discipline, and a positive work culture.

Inventory & Stock Control

·       Manage beverage inventory and ensure adequate stock levels.

·       Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory records.

·       Minimize wastage, spoilage, theft, and unauthorized stock movement.

·       Coordinate timely ordering and receiving of beverages and bar supplies.

·       Maintain accurate inventory documentation and reports.

Financial Management

·       Monitor daily sales and ensure accurate cash handling procedures.

·       Prepare daily sales reports and reconcile cash collections.

·       Control operational costs while maximizing revenue and profitability.

·       Monitor beverage costs and recommend pricing strategies where appropriate.

·       Identify opportunities to increase sales through promotions and upselling initiatives.

Compliance, Safety & Hygiene

·       Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws and relevant regulations.

·       Enforce responsible alcohol service practices.

·       Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

·       Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security procedures.

·       Report accidents, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.

Reporting & Administration

·       Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

·       Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, staff attendance, and incidents.

·       Monitor key performance indicators and recommend operational improvements.

·       Assist management with budgeting and planning activities.


KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

·       Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.

·       Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in bar operations or hospitality management.

·       Previous supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.

·       Strong leadership and team management skills.

·       Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

·       Sound knowledge of bar operations and beverage management.

·       Inventory and stock control expertise.

·       Financial and cash management skills.

·       Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
