Job Description/Requirements
At Vyntra, we help financial institutions across the world fight fraud, prevent money laundering, and gain full visibility into every transaction. Our AI-powered platform combines advanced fraud detection with large-scale transactional data observability, giving banks the tools to build trust and stay compliant.
As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll be hands-on in ensuring the quality and reliability of the products that underpin critical financial crime prevention. You'll work embedded within our product development teams, testing new features, analysing behaviour across complex data flows, and making smart decisions about when to run manual tests, when to automate, and how to build repeatable, robust quality checks.
This role suits someone who's comfortable testing deeply and repeatedly, but who also enjoys uncovering edge cases, spotting patterns, and bringing creativity and judgement into how we safeguard product quality.
What You'll Do
- Own the testing of new and existing product functionality—designing, executing, and maintaining a mix of manual and automated tests.
- Use your judgement to decide what to automate, when to automate, and what must be validated manually.
- Build and maintain automated test scripts (Java) for UI and API layers where it adds value.
- Execute exploratory, regression, functional, and integration testing—sometimes running repetitive tests to validate behaviour across complex transactional systems.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and platform engineers to understand features, clarify behaviour, and ensure high-quality releases.
- Identify defects, analyse root causes, and contribute to improving coverage and stability.
- Participate in CI/CD-driven workflows and contribute to improving test reliability and speed.
- Help shape and improve QA processes, tooling, and best practices within the team.
What You Bring
- Strong hands-on experience as a QA Engineer or Senior QA Engineer in a product development environment.
- Solid understanding of testing techniques for complex, integrated systems.
- Good technical and testing skills, ideally including:
- Java (required) for automation scripting
- Selenium (nice to have)
- API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
- Experience with Elastic, MQ, or Kafka (plus)
- Ability to balance careful, repetitive validation with creative exploration and problem-solving.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Clear communicator, comfortable working in distributed, international teams.
