Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering with a structural focus, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive post-qualification experience in large-scale, high-value building or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with high-rise buildings, bridges, complex foundations, or other major structures.
- Advanced knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, ANSYS, Revit Structure, or RISA-3D.
- In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards, including Eurocodes, ACI, AISC, BS, and applicable Kenyan standards.
- Demonstrated experience across the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design and detailed analysis through construction documentation and site support.
- Experience in finite element modelling, seismic analysis, and steel, concrete, and post-tensioned structural design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead detailed structural analysis, modelling, design, and calculations for complex projects.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate structural designs with architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines.
- Provide technical guidance and oversee structural works on site.
- Review construction quality and ensure compliance with approved structural designs.
- Conduct structural condition assessments and prepare technical reports.
- Support structural cost control, budget management, and project scheduling.
- Advise on procurement of key structural materials and systems, including steel, concrete, and foundation systems.
- Support contract and vendor management for structural works.
- Ensure structural works comply with HSE requirements and applicable Kenyan regulations.
- Maintain structural safety certifications and technical documentation.
- Mentor junior structural engineers and provide technical guidance.
