Engineering Intern (College-level)

Hiwin Corporation is the leader in the innovation and manufacturing of motion control and mechatronic system technology. We are one of the largest producers in the world of linear motion components such as: linear guideways, ballscrews, linear motors and stages.
We are currently seeking an Engineering Intern to join our fast paced, diverse, and safety-centric team. This role will support the development of design automation software and engineering sizing tools.

A Typical Day As An Engineering Intern Can Include

• Assisting in developing and improving design automation software and engineering sizing tools;
• Deriving engineering calculations for sizing mechanical components such as ballscrew stages, geared AC servo motors, and counterbalance mechanisms;
• Supporting developments of spring counterbalance calculations for linear motor applications;
• Designing graphical user interfaces (GUI) with animation features to enhance tool usability and visualization;

What We’re Looking For

• This is an internship position; college students are encouraged to apply;
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or related field;
• Basic understanding of mechanical system design and engineering calculations;
• Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
